The days are shorter giving us more time to enjoy the Holiday light displays in and around Boston. We’ve chosen some of our favorite spots that you can visit this season.
ZooLights at Stone Park Zoo
Enter a winter wonderland of tree-lined paths lit by thousands of twinkling lights spanning Stone Zoo’s 26 acres. Take a sparkling stroll through festively decorated Yukon Creek, home to black bears, Canada lynx, reindeer and arctic foxes. This year, several illuminated large-scale animal lantern displays will light up your winter’s night!
Wednesdays, Nov. 30 – Dec. 21, 6:00 – 9:00 p.m.: Though Santa’s busy at the North Pole, Mrs. Claus will spread holiday cheer throughout the Zoo. Be sure to say hello, snap a pic, and she may even pass a message along to Old Saint Nick!
Blink!
Faneuil Hall Marketplace
Blink! is a state of the art light and sound performance that takes over Faneuil Hall during the holiday season. This show uses over 350,000 LED lights to the sounds of the Boston pops to create a seven minute show that runs on a continuous schedule from 4:30 pm – 10 pm daily.
Boston Common & Frog Pond
The Boston Common displays a large Christmas tree from Nova Scotia lit with thousands of holiday lights. Visit the life size crash, an enormous menorah and enjoy the decorated trees surrounding the common. You might also consider a skate on frog pond with a view of the State House. Rent or bring your own skates, get a hot chocolate and enjoy some classic New England fun.
Christopher Columbus Park Trellis (North End)
The Christopher Columbus Park Trellis sports beautiful wisteria flowers in the spring and holiday lights in the winter. Stop by and see the lights with a cannoli and a cappuccino.
