Although the spring blossoms in Boston are a little late this year, it seems as though we are finally on the right path toward summer. Our Boston bed and breakfast, especially loves this time time of year, because of street is splash with pinks and white petals. Being in the south end it also remind us that the SOWA market will be making it’s seasonal return for the spring, summer and early fall.
The SOWA district has seen some changes over it’s winter hibernation. The beloved Rocca is gone and nothing has risen from its ashes just yet. However, the shopkeepers, gallerists and artists of Thayer Street are anticipating another successful season of weekend art enthusiasts. While Thayer Street has countless treasures some of our favorites include the photography of Debbie Krim, Bead + Fiber and Marie Gallvin’s exsquisite hats that would be a fabulous addition to any royal wedding.
Thayer Street is not alone at the SOWA art market. The market also features a collection vendors from the South End and region, that display a variety of arts, gourmet delights, crafts and jewelry. For unique finds do not miss the vendors & tents at The SOWA market.
Our Boston boutique hotel is very close to Thayer Street and the SOWA art market, which runs through October every Sunday from 10AM – 4PM at 460 Harrison. If you are seeking art or a special addition to your home or collection consider joining us at Clarendon Square. We will be happy to host you as you take in the South End’s spectacular collection of arts & restaurants. If you cannot join us on the weekend, that is fine. SOWA hosts a first Fridays event all year, the first Friday of each month.
