Our bed and breakfast located in Boston’s South End has been designed with
classic and modern components much like the neighborhood itself. The property
is littered with antiques along side contemporary pieces of art and furniture
to create a unique setting in which to relax and unwind. Another example of
classic South End style is the SoWa Markets located on Harrison Avenue.
SoWa Sundays operate all year round, rain or shine with different themes for
different seasons. In the winter, head on over for the Vintage Market. You will
find old records, fashion, house wares and artwork from the last 100 years all
compiled in a warehouse open rain or shine. Pick up some of your favorite LP’s,
an armoire from the 50’s and photographs from the 70’s. If vintage isn’t your
style, the SoWa Open Market might be for you. From May to October, the parking
lot in front of the SoWa space turns into tent city! Local artists, students
and food trucks all convene together outside to sell their passions and meet
new people. Nosh on some of Clover’s rosemary French fries while you peruse
through the seemingly endless array of unique art and knick-knacks and finish
the day off with a delicious frozen hoagie or nutella crepe from ParisCreperie.
The whole SoWa arts district is definitely worth visiting while in Boston.
It is only a 10 minute walk from our door. You will absolutely find something
that speaks to you and will have a story all its own to add to yours. After
spending the day walking around and enjoying the gorgeous spring time weather,
head back to your favorite boutique bed and breakfast for afternoon tea and a
soak in our roof top hot tub!
